My Country – Beautiful and Hospitable, is a competition among destinations and other participants under the umbrella the Slovenian Tourist Association. The event's mission is to manage and preserve the environment. The honorary patron of this year's event was once again President Borut Pahor.

Assessed at the competition were the tourism offer and how beautifully arranged a destination is (as a whole, as well as certain areas and buildings), the quality of the tourism offer, the destination's quality of life for both locals and guests, the protection of natural and cultural heritage, the protection of the environment and hospitality. Assessed also were the streets and squares, buildings for various activities, the horticulture, heritage care, the communal and tourism infrastructure, and other similar things.
