Erste Card Club, the new owner of the Diners Club card license in Slovenia, has been granted a license for payment transactions by the central bank Banka Slovenije.
This makes the restart of Diners Club card services in Slovenia possible. The former franchisee Diners Club Slovenije lost its license in May for running late on payments to retailers. The suspension of card payments left 80,000 Slovenian card holders unable to use their cards for payments.
