Kangler was sentenced along with Karin Ježovita, a fortune-teller, due to illegal allocation of municipal housing. He appealed against the sentence in May, but now the High Court has upheld the decision of the district judge. Any further appeal to the Supreme Court will not suspend the execution of the punishment, however Kangler can ask for an alternative way to serve his sentence.
