Official statistics show that almost 3,400 young people moved out of Slovenia in 2012, including just over 1,500 Slovenian citizens, which is the highest number ever recorded since the country broke independent in 1991. Among those who left, 147 had higher education, which president of the Slovenian Student Organisation, says shows that the brain drain is a reality in Slovenia.
