If Kavčič's wish comes true, despite Slovenia's most probable elimination from League C, statements from the past weeks point to the possibility that Slovenia's best goalkeeper will still not stand in Slovenia's goal. "I don't want to talk a lot about Jan Oblak. I lot was already said and so let everyone create his own opinion. And what does that tell you?" Kavčič asked the media and Slovenian public at the press-conference after Slovenia's draw with Cyprus (1:1). When questioned whether he would still ask Oblak to change his mind about the November matches, the 64-year-old coach erupted.
The national team needs him, the door is open

I like to discuss things one on one. Who did I promise (the captain armband)? Who are those five? With his statement he also rejected the accuracy of the football association's PR report, published after a meeting between Oblak and the president of the Slovenian Football Association (NZS) Rade Mijatović in Madrid.
