At the same time the number of employed people in Slovenia’s timber industry continues to fall every year.

Petra Drobne from the SPIRIT public agency says they plan to continue promoting the use of wood in housing projects this year as well, despite a lack of funds. Last year the SPIRIT agency carried out a project promoting the use of wood with the support of the Finance Ministry.

This year the agency says it plans to continue campaigning through cooperation with different ministries and institutions.
