Many households have some kind of internet filter installed

When it comes to using the Internet, there is one thing that Slovenes do differently from other Europeans. According to data from eurostat, Slovenes are the most enthusiastic users of parental controls and web filters. A full 25% of Slovenian households have some kind of internet filter installed. In neighboring Italy, for example, just 4% of homes have a filter. In Bulgaria, it’s 2%. The EU average is 14%. That makes Slovenia, and its 25%, number one in Europe when it comes to filtering the internet for children.
