The next time you spray perfume or cologne on, spare a thought for the amazing Slovenian inventor Peter Florjančič. He’s the man who invented the perfume atomizer back in 1950. He also invented the plastic zipper, plastic ice skates, and even the airbag to name a few things. And as if that weren’t enough: he was also an Olympic athlete and competed for the Yugoslav skiing team in 1936. In his biography, he wrote: “I’ve had five citizenships, 43 cars and the longest passport.” And if that wasn’t enough: you can even find him in a movie, specifically The Monte Carlo Story with Marlene Dietrich. A true polymath.
