Potica is a cake with a rich filling and rolled up

Slovenian holidays mean it’s time for potica. What is it? It’s a cake consisting of a sheet of pastry spread with a rich filling (nuts, poppies, raisins, various herbs, cottage cheese, and honey) and rolled up. It’s served all over the country on special occasions. Recently, the potica has become a recognized Slovenian trademark at various international, state, cultural, and sports meetings.
