It is a programme of cancer control measures and activities and invites women from 50 to 69 years of age to get screened for breast cancer.

Until the end of this year 25.000 women will have been examined. 762 women have been invited to the screening mammography unit in Maribor, 606 have come and been screened for breast cancer. Around 15.000 women in the municipality of Maribor fit the criteria for taking part in the National Cancer Control Programme of Slovenia.
