Despite the predicted negative economic activity it will be necessary to boost economic recovery, increase corporate restructuring and ensure fiscal savings.

In 2014 the rehabilitation of the banking system will continue. Director of the Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development hopes that the second restructuring of banks, in the past 20 years, will bring dramatic changes, which will hopefully eliminate the things that caused the situation.

A board member of Bisol, Dag Kralj, said it was high time for Slovenia to confront the open competitive economic environment. To this end, he says a social cap should be enacted. He says this would help secure that trained and well educated employees remain in Slovenia.

Director of Štore Steel meanwhile said that Slovenia doesn’t need much more than a tax environment like the one in Germany or Austria.
