Student work in decline

This year the students will earn approximately 50 million EUR less than in the year before. According to the 3 largest providers of student work in Slovenia the extent of student work has shrunk by up to 30 per cent in comparison to the year before. As a consequence 10 minor Student services providers had to close their doors. According to students the job offer for student work has also got very limited. Student work is or was very popular in Slovenia. Reason for the decline of student work is a change of the Slovenian Labour Market Regulation Act.
