The party was recently thrown into disarray when founder and Ljubljana mayor Zoran Jankovič announced his intention to run as party president again. He stepped down after being accused of corruption by the national watchdog. Other coalition parties have threatened to leave the coalition if Jankovič returns to lead the party.
