Farmers purchased 2% less mineral fertilisers and 4% less plant macro-nutrients last year than in 2012. Slovenia saw an increase in agricultural land between 2011 and 2012, thus a more pronounced drop was recorded in the use of fertilisers per hectare. The Office says that the average use of mineral fertilisers per hectare decreased by 7% in this period, while the use of plant nutrients per hectare dropped by 8%.
