Reforestation efforts continued today in the Karst region with the help of drones.
Drones dropped thousands of capsules with seeds in an effort to restore more than 10,000 m2 of difficult to access areas. The Karst region was devastated by wildfires in 2022.
The Slovenian Forest Service said drones are used to spread seeds of native tree species, adding that this technique is up to five times faster than planting by traditional methods.
