A man born today in Slovenia can expect to live until the age of 75. A Slovenian woman can expect to live until the age of 82. Slovenia’s life expectancy matches the European average almost exactly. It’s slightly higher than the Baltic countries and Eastern Europe, where people die (on average) 4 or 5 years earlier. But it’s about 1 or 2 years less than some countries in western Europe and Scandinavia.
