According to the World Development Indicators database, Slovenia has one of the longest waiting times in the world. In countries like Austria, Italy and Switzerland, it takes a month or less for a business to secure rights to a property. In Norway, it takes one day.
In Slovenia, it’s 391 days – that’s more than a year. That puts it in fifth place in the world. The world champion in waiting times, though, is Haiti, where it takes 683 days to register property.
