Slovenia is strongly represented in the NBA

Basketball is one of Slovenia’s favorite sports. No wonder then, that Slovenia is strongly represented in the world’s best basketball league: the NBA in the United States. Eight Slovenian players have played in the NBA -- 3 of them are still there. Germany, which is 17 times bigger than Slovenia, has had less players in the NBA! Germany has sent 7 basketball players to the NBA. Only one is still playing: the popular Dallas player Dirk Nowitzki. The most popular nationality from Europe, however, is Serbia, which has 18 players in the NBA. But still, for small Slovenia, there are a lot of good basketball players. Keep on balling Slovenia.
