The government is working on a new tax package.
It includes incentives for highly qualified workers from abroad and also higher taxes on sugary and energy drinks. There would also be higher taxes on alcohol. It may come into force in 2025.
They are also proposing changes to the value added tax, such as raising the threshold for entering the VAT system from EUR 50,000 to EUR 60,000.
