The Pope delivered his traditional Urbi et Orbi Easter message at the Vatican earlier today. He was watched by a crowd of thousands in St.Peter's Square and by millions on TV channels around the world.
He called for an end to the long-running war in Syria, as well as reconciliation in South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo. He also urged North and South Korea to engage in dialogue to find a peaceful solution to tensions on the Korean peninsula.
Meanwhile, here in Slovenia, most families celebrated with the traditional Easter Sunday breakfast of eggs, 'Potica' cake, ham and horseradish.
This year is unusual in that Easter Sunday falls on the 1st of April for the first time in 62 years. The 1st of April is traditionally called April Fools' Day, where friends and family play tricks on each other.
The Easter weekend continues tomorrow, which is a public holiday across the country.
